Japanese winter fashion. Girls in mini skirts in Tokyo Japan

A short article about Japanese mini skirts winter
Awhile back I wrote an article for my Japanese blog about fashion in Tokyo. In that article I referred to a picture that a friend of mine in Tokyo had sent me of Japanese girls in mini skirts in winter.

I recently checked the statistics for the blog, which I hadn't updated in several months, and to my surprise found that the article about japanese mini skirts was the most popular article, not only for my blog about Japan, but all the blogs on the entire site!

So, as I'm not updating that blog anymore, I'm moving the article about mini skirts in winter in Japan to this page here. I hope you like it! And don't forget to visit other articles you may be interested in too! (Listed at the bottom)

A friend of mine is currently teaching English in Japan and sent me a picture that I was quite surprised about. Apparently there are still clothing work cultures in Japan that haven't changed. Women still have to wear miniskirts, even if it is snowing and freezing in the middle of winter. What ever happened to slacks?

And think of all the salary men in the middle of summer that still feel obligated to wear those heavy woollen suits to work, with a tie.

Thankfully something has been done about it and people are slowly changing their work-clothes attitude. But I'm sure you'll still be able to see Japanese girls in mini skirts in 0 degrees winters and Japanese guys in thick woollen suits in 40 degrees summers for a few years yet!
