Mini
skirts in a Tokyo winter
Japanese girls Tokyo winter mini skirts A friend of mine is currently teaching English in Japan and sent me a picture that I was quite surprised about. Apparently there are still clothing work cultures in Japan that haven't changed. Women still have to wear miniskirts, even if it is snowing and freezing in the middle of winter. What ever happened to slacks? And think of all the salary men in the middle of summer that still feel obligated to wear those heavy woollen suits to work, with a tie. Thankfully something has been done about it and people are slowly changing their work-clothes attitude. But I'm sure you'll still be able to see Japanese girls in mini skirts in 0 degrees winters and Japanese guys in thick woollen suits in 40 degrees summers for a few years yet!
