Singapore 24th - 25th November
26th November.

Our last day in Singapore (apart from a few hours before the plane goes tomorrow) and we decided to waste some time by exploring plazas and the occasional tourist venue on the way, to see the fountain again. (When we saw it yesterday it wasn't turned on)

We had breakfast at the Killiney Road Kopitian where I enjoyed Kava on toast and two soft boiled eggs with salt and pepper(mixed like soup)

Afterwards we walked the streets until we came to Plaza Singapura. We had planned to have a quick glance but saw something that changed this into an hour! "Snoopy Place" www.snoopyplace.com.sg

We bought a few things from there and Christine bought a handbag from the place downstairs (and a couple of other things) Snoopy Place also had an adjoining cafeteria with Snoopy styled menus (I believe) Snoopy pictures everywhere.

After that we walked the streets until we got to Suntec Plaza. We made it to the fountain with 10 minutes to spare and were able to record it in action. Then had black chicken lunch at Suntec Fountain Food Terrace.

Christine rang people and confirmed that we would meet Margaret at Funan IT Mall KFC at 5:00pm, and Wenni at 5:30pm. We walked there and had a look in a number of PC shops but the prices were comparable to buying similar items in Australia so there wasn't much of a saving.

After chatting with Margaret and Wenni, Wenni took Christine and I to a restaurant in Chinatown that served rare Indian Roti flavours. We ordered a garlic Roti and a honey one. Unfortunately it turned out that both were cooked in butter so we ordered a plain one, no butter, for me. Nice and different.

Wenni went home and we took the MRT home and packed.

27th November. Margaret met us at the airport and kindly bought us breakfast. I was very tired after only sleeping 3 & a half hours but got ready for the flight. Looking forward to getting home and starting work!

Well, I'm writing this as I'm drunk on the plane, so don't expect good writing! At the airport I saw a sign saying Scooby Doo so was looking forward to seeing this movie. Unfortunately they weren't playing it in Economy in November. Got to see the rest of Spy Kids II though as well as Animated Mr Bean and Who's Line is it Anyway - American version.

On the right side of the plane was Uluru (Ayre's Rock). Unfortunately we were on the left side so we didn't get to see much of it. Everyone on the plane seemed to be excited about it though. I'll probably get there when I'm 80.

The flight was uneventful but I always compliment Singapore Airlines on their hostesses, their service and their planes. Excellent.

Now I'll start planning for my next trip. Japan sounds nice. And JAL apparently have cams on the nose, wings, and tail that you can access from your seat, if you want to see what it looks like outside. Sounds cool.

Well I hope you enjoyed this portion of my travelogues. Please check out my other ones available from the index page at NeilHogan.com
